Each year, Alamo trains and sends a student dance troupe to represent the school in the televised parade. This year, a second group of Alamo students will march with the Asian Pacific American Labor Alliance (APALA), who will be celebrating the 150th anniversary of the transcontinental railroad and recognizing the Chinese workers who helped build the railroad. Our students will represent the various career professionals that make up today’s workforce. Our two groups will follow one another in the parade lineup.

For the first time, the entire parade will be streamed on Facebook Live from the reviewing stand located on Kearny Street and Pacific Avenue. Everyone, including family and friends living outside of the KTVU/KTSF television coverage area, will be able to watch and cheer our school on in case our kids don’t make it on the televised broadcast. Click on this link to be notified when the stream goes live at approximately 5:45 pm this Saturday, February 23, 2019.
