Dear Alamo parents,
As you are aware, Alamo has begun a program called Stop, Drop & Go, to help with the morning drop off process. We've had a lot of positive feedback from parents, students, neighbors and even the Department of Parking and Traffic about the success of the program so far. We are asking parents of each class to help out with this program. For example, Rooms 215 and 217 are responsible for providing volunteers for Stop Drop & Go for the week of October 22.
Stop, Drop & Go runs from 8:25 to 8:45 am every morning. In order to make our program work, we need six parents each morning to volunteer 20 minutes of their time. You can bring your children to school early on the day you volunteer. Based on the number of classes at Alamo, you will only be asked to volunteer two times per classroom per year.
Volunteering is easy. You will direct traffic, help children out of the car and supervise them as they enter the school grounds. It's only 20 minutes of your day but you and other parents will have peace of mind knowing that our children will not have to cross busy streets, walk into traffic or otherwise be placed in danger on their way to school.
It's a great way to start your morning greeting happy children and parents!
Thank You. We look forward to hearing from you!
Sincerely,
Alamo PTA
