2018 Literacy Week Events
Assembly – We will kick off with two afternoon assemblies by Muriel Johnson, a terrific storyteller on Tuesday, February 27th, sponsored by our Alamo PTA.
Read Across America at Alamo will be on Wednesday, February 28th and Thursday, March 1st. Each classroom will have guest readers sharing their favorite stories and love of reading. Recommended books
Annual Alamo Book Exchange will be held on Friday, March 2nd in the Alamo library.
Every Alamo student can shop for and take home a free book. Parent volunteers will be on hand to help make appropriate selections. Our books come from student donations and selections from the Children’s Book Project.
