Dear Alamo Parents,There will be an important meeting this coming Thursday 2/26 at 6pm in the library to elect a nominating committee for new PTA officers for the 2009-2010 school year. The meeting will be brief, and we hope many of you will come to give input into whom you would like to have serve on this committee to nominate new PTA leaders for next year. The nominating committee will meet and identify potential leaders who will be announced at the March meeting (Tuesday March 31). The election of new PTA leaders will take place at the PTA meeting on April 30.

The election of PTA leaders is very important, as these parents and teachers must work well with the principal and staff to oversee how our substantial budget is spent each year to benefit our children.

Nominees for both the nominating committee and next year's officers must be PTA members for at least 30 days prior to the elections. Voters must also be PTA members and must be present at the meetings to vote.
