How Can I Help?
1. Be A PTA Member !
Show your support by being a member of PTA. Our energetic VP of Membership Vivian Eng urges you to join. Please go to PTA page to download an application !
2. Give Time / Volunteering For The Benefits Of The Alamo Community
In addition to helping Alamo teachers, you can help PTA by helping us at fundraising events, offer to help with the various enrichment programs or help with stuffing envelopes and mailing fliers. 3. Personal or Business Donations
There are a variety of ways you can help us fund our programs. Some people make annual contributions for a lump sum. Some prefer to spread their contributions over the course of a year. We have the ability to accept credit card contributions via a signed authorization form. For a donation form click here.
Employee Matching Programs. Some employers agree to match contributions made by their employees. Ask your employer!
4. Free Money Programs When You Shop
Participating merchants have agreed to donate a percentage from purchases made at their stores by signed up participants. Shop through us to Amazon.com. You can also shop on-line through Schoolpop, which offers a broad range of merchants. A portion of the money you spend on purchasing items will be donated to the school!

Sign-up programs include eScrip, Albertson's, Safeway, and Target. Each sign-up and use of the relevant card represents a steady stream of merchant contributions to Alamo. 5. Donate items and/or participate in our annual auction event
We traditionally have an annual silent auction event where we have merchants or individuals donate merchandise, gift certificates that promote commerce within the community and allow the auction participants to enjoy the bid items. Funds received from the auction will help fund our enrichment programs. 6. Gives PTA Grants Leads and/or Assist In Applying For Grants
The Foundation applied for its first grants in 1999 and has received several minor grants since then. We will continue to seek funds in this area. If you know of grants that might be of interest, please contact us.
