Letter to the Alamo Community
Dear Alamo Families, Staff, and Community:
Alamo's 2010 Auction will be held on April 9. We need your help in getting donations to make this event a success.
*** The funds raised pay for Alamo's PE, choral music, drama, ceramics, and dance programs. Without this fundraiser, we will not have these wonderful programs for Alamo's students.***
Here's how *YOU* can help:
Now through March 15th : DONATE OR ASK FOR DONATIONS
- Do you own a business (or know someone who does)?
- Do you shop/eat at a local business or restaurant and can ask for a donation?
- Do you have a skill or talent that you could donate as a service?
- Do you have an item that you could donate or tickets/gift cards that you aren't using?
- Can you work with your child's class to make an art project?
Examples of past donations:
- Restaurant/Store Gift Certificates: All kinds and all values are very popular
- Entertainment: Sports tickets, theater/music events, museums, theme parks, or zoos
- Goods (new/excellent condition only): Toys and games, dolls, doll clothes, dishware, wine, clothing, jewelry, crafts, artwork, household items, books, video games, beauty products, gourmet foods, or electronics
- Health/Beauty Services: Haircuts, nails, dentistry, eye exams, acupuncture, massage, or facials
- Other Services: Automotive, hotels, babysitting, consulting, personal training/fitness, home cooked meals, vacation homes, dog training/walking/boarding, photography, or tours
- Lessons and classes (children and adults): Music, cooking, rock climbing, dance, fencing, art, summer camps, dance, yoga, martial arts, science, chess, sewing, or skating
- Antiques and Collectibles: Rare books, stamp albums, postcards, sports memorabilia, celebrity autographs, antique furniture/household items
- Classroom Projects (hand-made by the children): Picture frames, artwork, ceramics, quilts, painted furniture, soaps, banana bread, or pillows
Whether your donation is worth $10 or $1,000, it will help us reach our fundraising goal!
Please use the donation request letter and form above and return it to the office.
