About Alamo
Elementary School

Alamo School founded in 1926 is a National Blue Ribbon School of Excellence located in central Richmond District in San Francisco, serving seven hundred students from Kindergarten to Fifth Grade assigned to thirty-one different classes.

Our goal is to provide a rich and rewarding education to our students offering the best practices delivered by our highly qualified teachers, staff and community volunteers.

In addition to teaching the district and state adopted core curriculum, we provide visual arts, music, science and physical education programs to our students conducted by professional consultants funded by Friends of Alamo School Foundation.

As you tour our school, you will see the beautiful and enriching art works of our local artists in residence. The art works exhibited by our students reflect our school motto "Be our Friend".
