Kat Sena, our talented music teacher has been a part of Alamo family since 1994. She is much more than our music teacher, she is a recording artist, composer and choral director.

Kat's past experiences include being the musical director of Children's Summer Musical Theater in St. Helena, which performed works like "CIRCUS, CIRCUS" "PINOCCHIO" and "THE WIZARD OF OZ", and the director at Saint Rose Academy in San Francisco. As a composer, her most recently released CD "Emily, Everywhere" is a song about great author named Emily. New West Sky, a CD and film released in 1998, features songs about Willa Cather and the importance of writing about your life.

Kat has also composed several choral compositions beginning as far back as the late 70s. These include Three Floral Fantasies, sung by San Francisco State University Concert Choir; The Sun Never Shines in England, sung by the Santa Rosa Junior Collage Concert Choir; and Christopher's Ocean, sung by the Saratoga High School Girl's Chorus.

She has performed as a lead singer of a country swing band, a song specialist for the Gate summer enrichment program, and as the composer of original music for the Napa Valley Folk Music Festival in the late 90s.

Kat has some wonderful dreams for expanding the music program at Alamo. We look forward to seeing those dreams become a reality!!
