Science Coordinator: The coordinator is contracted for 8 hours per week. The coordinator does not work directly with the children but supports the teachers by providing them with science supplies when they need them; either by locating existing materials or ordering them.

The coordinator also keeps the science kits that the teachers use in their classrooms refurbished so they are ready when they need them. These kits are used in grades K-5. When all teachers use the science kits, then all Alamo students are impacted by this program. The current position description does not include developing curriculum.
