Stanley
Edwards is a parent of a second grader. She has been teaching
ceramics at Alamo since 2000. She comes to us with an extensive
professional background. She received her Bachelor of Arts (BA)
from University of California at Santa Cruz and her Master of Fine
Arts (MFA) from the University of Washington.
While living in New York in the early 90s, Stanley was an instructor
of mixed media sculpture at the Sculpture Center School and Studios.
During that time, she also exhibited her sculpture work at the school
as well as the A.I.R. Gallery in New York City. Prior to that, she
exhibited at the 44th Scripps Ceramics Annual, Scripps College and
the Tacoma Art Museum where she won the first Place in Sculpture.
As you can see, we are extremely lucky to have her working with
our students at Alamo. We are sure you have heard about the varied
experiences your child or children have had working with Stanley.
